Advocating for you in court, obtaining and completing the required documents, and dealing with the opposing side throughout the legal process, whether that involves getting a protective order, or a restraining order. Representing someone who has been served with a protective order or a restraining order.
Taking the time with the client to diccuss the many factors involved in the dissolution process. This includes frank discussions about the possible need for professional help for mental health and/or alcohol and substance abuse issues.
Providing representation in modifications of existing court orders in child custody, alimony, visitation, child support caused by a substantial change of circumstances.
Knowing when to refer the client to the right person to offer therapeutic support, when necessary, can often be key to preserving emotional balance in individuals and families going through a divorce.
